What to Expect

The Scoop
Arrival
Upon arrival, we will engage in a discussion regarding any concerns you may have, including behavioral issues, physical issues, or noticeable restrictions. We will confirm the plan for the session, I will conduct a thorough evaluation of your horse's body through palpation, and then proceed with the session.
The Session
Depending on your booking, the duration of the session can range from 30 to 90 minutes. This time frame includes both evaluation and the therapeutic modalities we have decided upon. Throughout the session, I will attentively observe your horse's body language for signs of discomfort or areas of concern, adjusting my approach as necessary. Common relaxation cues you may observe include blinking, licking and chewing, yawning, stretching, and occasionally, falling asleep. Fidgeting is also a frequent display, often occurring just before a release; this may manifest as moving around, pawing, biting at cross ties, or shaking their head.
After the Session
Following the session, we can discuss any questions you may have or plans for continued care. It is essential to ensure that your horse has access to fresh, clean water. I typically recommend electrolytes, especially following a Magna Wave session. Encouraging movement after the session is highly beneficial, and if you have therapeutic sheets or wraps, they can also enhance recovery.
